La Gioia Vita: Working With Family
Hi Friends! I am Kaleigh, La Gioia Vita’s Media Manager! I am also Sam and Mary Ann’s granddaughter!
Growing up with my grandparents traveling to Italy often, it seemed like a piece of cake to travel! After 25 years of experience, of course they made it look easy!
When I chose to travel while I was attending Eastern Connecticut State University, they sat me down and told me a bunch of travel tips, tricks, and important places to visit because, of course, I was going to Italy!
Italy was where my grandmother ran off to and would come back with lemon soap and amazing pictures, is what 10 year old me thought they did. Fast forwarding to now, joining the La Gioia Vita team and seeing what my grandparents have been doing for the last 24 years, amazes me.
Seeing the hard work and precision that is put into every trip is the reason why 30% of those who travel with Sam and Mary Ann have returned for more Gioia di Vita (joy of life).
When this pandemic caused the world to shut down and all travel to stop, instead of giving into Netflix and wine (okay, well a little of that) and instead of giving up, we jumped forward!

People say working with family is hard, and I can attest, sometimes it is not the easiest of tasks, however I do believe that it is the most rewarding. It has been a blessing to take in all the knowledge they have, which has been spewing out since the new La Gioia Vita website was being built!
Soaking it all in I have big ideas, thanks to my Dad teaching me to never set any limits when goal setting and I want to expand to more countries, cultures and add more workshop opportunities!
As I continue to research, please comment on locations, cultures, workshops that you would be interested in attending! The world was made to be explored! I want to live a life like my grandparents do, and I can’t wait to explore more with them!
